Fracture Repair can include something as minute as a toe in a cat to repairing multiple fractures for an animal that was hit by a vehicle. Some injuries can simply occur during regular day to day activities. For example, a small dog may break bones from jumping or falling only a couple of feet.

Some repairs may only take 30 minutes, while others may take a few hours; a patient with multiple fractures may require performing surgeries on different days to avoid excessive anesthesia time.
