Yes. Specialists are only available during specific hours.

Emergencies & Treatment

What should I do if my pet ate my medication?

Find out what kind and the strength of the medication and call poison control immediately 1-888-426-4435. A consultation fee will be charged. You may also bring the pet straight to ASECB.

It is the weekend and we ran out of my pet’s medication could you fill them?

No. We are not a pharmacy. In a situation where your pet MUST take the medication at all times, like seizure medication, heart medication, or insulin, a medication may be filled upon examination by our emergency veterinarian. The original medication bottle would need to be brought in with the patient.

Do your veterinarians make house calls or have an ambulatory service?

No. We only provide care within our facility.

Is there a veterinarian on staff all night?

Yes. We have a veterinarian and at least two technicians on staff.

How long can I expect to wait?

Just like the human emergency room, we never know what to expect. We do our very best to ensure wait times are minimal, however, care is given in order of urgency. We appreciate your patience and understanding!
