Originally from the mid-Atlantic region, Dr. Cassie Thomas-Sheehan attended Sweet Briar College for undergrad where she competed on their varsity equestrian team and studied Biology, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She then attended the Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine with an emphasis in equine medicine.

Dr. Cassie went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine VA-MD at Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in Virginia with an Equine Medicine Track Secondary Emphasis in Small Animal, Avian, and Exotic Animal Medicine and Surgery. Shortly after, she gained additional credentialing with her CVMMP - Certified Veterinary Medical Manipulation Practitioner from Integrative Veterinary Medical Institute and also her CVA - Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist via the Chi Institute in Reddick, Florida.

Early in her career, Dr. Cassie worked as a small animal veterinarian in multiple states and has a diverse depth of veterinary knowledge. Mid-career, she owned and operated a veterinary hospital in Hernando, Florida and more recently Dr. Cassie was medical director and veterinarian in Seekonk, Massachusetts. Her special interests include ultrasound, surgery, nutrition, dermatology, and pain management. She also has a passion for integrative medicine and extensive experience in herbal medicine and food therapy. As a certified veterinary acupuncturist, she works to bring the best of both western medicine and traditional Chinese veterinary medicine into her cases. 

When she is not working, Dr. Cassie enjoys wildlife photography, equestrian activities, the beach, boating, reading, and yoga. She currently has a cat, a dog, and a ball python in her pet family.
