Marissa Rutt, DVM

Dr. Rutt earned her doctorate from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts in 2016. She completed her clinical rotations at Colorado State University. After graduating, she completed a small animal rotating internship at VCA Animal Specialty Group in San Diego, CA. She continued to practice emergency medicine there for 5 years. Dr. Rutt joined Animal Specialty and Emergency Center of Brevard in 2021 to be closer to family. She is originally from Fort Lauderdale and earned her undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida in 2012. Her special interests include diagnostic imaging, integrative medicine, and triage. When Dr. Rutt isn’t treating patients at ASEC, she is spending time with her husband and daughter or having a relaxing day off with friends. Dr. Rutt has two cats at home – Stache and Marinara Sauce. She is an avid feline enthusiast and will let out a squeal when she sees her next patient is a cat!
