Why Work With Our Specialist Team?

Together, We Can Provide Optimal Care for Our Patients

Do you remember when most communities didn’t have boarded specialists? How exciting was it when there was finally a surgeon or internist to consult with in person instead of call from across the state?

Times have definitely changed and occasionally veterinarians (specialists and general practitioners alike) feel like they are competing against one another. If we could only take a step back and remember the benefits of collaborating on cases. You already know these benefits but consider whether or not you are taking full advantage of what YOU can do to benefit patients, clients, and your practice.

  • Improved Patient Care

  • Improved Client Service to Pet Owners

  • Increased Profitability For Both Practices

All veterinary practices are best served by focusing efforts on promoting a team approach to caring for pets and enhancing communication between specialists and general practitioners.

Our Promise To You

The board-certified specialists and emergency veterinarians Animal Specialty & Emergency Center of Brevard are committed to providing the best care possible for your patient. For specialty referrals, we will work with you to develop a plan that meets the needs of your patient and client. We will always keep you in the know with regular updates.

Our goal is for an email or fax to be sent within 12 hours for each pet being treated at our facility. Often, you are notified much sooner when we contact you for medical records in order to create a more efficient treatment plan for the patient. Occasionally, if the hospital has a large caseload, this may cause a delay in records. In this case, we appreciate your patience as we process all patient records in order and get them to you as soon as possible.

If your patient needs to be hospitalized, regular updates will be sent to your hospital and you can call at any time (24 hours a day) to check on the status of the patient. Upon discharge, a full medical report will be sent to your hospital within 24 hours along with any diagnostic imaging that has come back.

ASECB does not offer vaccinations, routine check-ups, dental cleanings, flea and tick control or prescription food.

We refer the client back to YOU for any and all of these non-critical services.
