Testimonials

We took our 14 year old Bassett, Max, to Animal Emergency last week in respiratory distress. He was diagnosed with partial laryngeal paralysis and had surgery the next day to tie open his left vocal cord. We took him home the following day and he is doing great–breathing normally, more energy. Max received excellent care and we were treated with respect and kept informed the entire time. We feel very fortunate to have such a highly competent and compassionate hospital for emergencies and special needs for our animals. Thank you all so much!

I have been meaning to commend Animal Specialty & Emergency Center of Brevard for their outstanding care of our dog last year when she impaled herself on a garden fence. It was on a Saturday afternoon, we called our local Vet and the recording referred us to this center. Upon calling, was advised to bring her in immediately. Waited only a few minutes before she was seen and immediately assessed by Dr Brackett. He explained that he would do exploratory and advise us by phone but that she didn’t appear to be in any major critical condition in light of the horrific impalement. We waited at home a few miles away and received a call to come pick her up. The staff was amazingly compassionate, polite and very thorough on the discharge instructions.

I was referred here by the Brevard Zoo, when my beloved 20 year old cat died, and I was in a rush looking for cremation services. I called on a Sunday morning and spoke to Wendy, who sounded genuinely sympathetic and caring. She told me all the options by phone and that I could come in anytime. At night, I forgot who I spoke with, but she was also genuinely sympathetic and caring. This facility is immaculately clean. She explained the whole process, showed me prices and options, and did not rush me, allowing me time to reflect on our loss

I recently brought my parents’ dachshund to this facility. When she got there she had a few serious issues. We were actually afraid that we might lose her. She ended up spending a week at Animal Emergency. We picked her up this past Tuesday and I have to say, she looked so much better. They took really good care of her while she was there. They ran the appropriate tests to find the cause of her problems. They kept us abreast on everything the whole time she was there. The doctors and the staff are tremendous. I dealt mostly with Dr. Barchard and he is just phenomenal. The pup has been home for almost a week now and she is doing great. I can honestly say that this place saved her life. I highly recommend this emergency facility for anybody’s pet’s needs.

Our dog Bella ingested some cooking oil and started vomiting this afternoon. We placed a call to the Animal Specialty & Emergency Center of Brevard. The receptionist I spoke to was calm and informative and recommended that we bring her in, as she could have pancreatitis. When we arrived we were immediately given a room and forms to fill out. They were pretty busy so it was about 30 minutes until we were seen. Dr. Jacqueline Serio and vet tech Aimee were both wonderful. They took their time and made both my husband and I comfortable. They also did their best to make Bella feel at ease and were so sweet with her. Dr. Serio answered all of our questions and helped us decide on the best course of action. She also took the time to look at a little bald spot on Bella’s side that had been worrying us. Overall, we were in and out in about an hour. We hope that we won’t need emergency vet services again, but if we do, the Animal Specialty & Emergency Center of Brevard would be our top choice.

Everyone here thoughtful kind and caring. They are very prompt even when super busy. They helped us with a start cat we found that is now our cat. He had scabies and they were not afraid to help him. They didn’t dismiss him at all. They were wonderful to us. Thank you.
